Malaysian Entreprenuers’ Development Association (PUMM) and Great Eastern Life Insurance (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd signed a Memorandum of Understanding 马来西亚创业促进会(PUMM; 青创会)和大东方人寿保险(马来西亚)有限公司签署备忘录

PUMM and Great Eastern Life Malaysia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on May 20, 2022 in conjunction with a joint group insurance collaboration to offer affordable investment-linked protection to SMEs and their employees. The signing ceremony between the two parties was officiated by Mr. Tan Lay Seong, the national president of PUMM and Dato Koh Yaw Hui, Chief Executive Officer of Great Eastern Life Assurance (Malaysia) Berhad.

This collaboration aims to extend Great Eastern Life Malaysia’s financial services to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) under PUMM with the intention to meet the financial needs of its employees and their family members. Amid the COVID-19 crisis that had SME owners and their employees faced with financial uncertainties, this collaboration provides an affordable and hassle-free outlook for the underinsured communities as insurance coverage is a primary defense in mitigating financial impacts from the unforeseen future.

Mr. Tan Lay Seong, the national president of PUMM, pointed out that the association is honored to work together with Great Eastern Life Malaysia to develop a customized and affordable group medical and critical illness investment-linked insurance plan for its members. The group insurance will benefit the long-term interests of the members as well as help our respective SME member companies achieve a more stable financial outlook.

Dato Koh Yaw Hui, Chief Executive Officer of Great Eastern Life Assurance (Malaysia) Berhad said that he is happy to partner with PUMM to reach out to SME owners and that they will continuously develop innovative products that resonate with the needs of their customers during these uncertain times and to meet changing behaviours whilst enhancing customer experience.

Apart from the group medical insurance offered under the employee benefits programme, the Group Multiple Benefits Insurance Scheme (GMBIS) offers additional coverage for SME owners, employees and their families against 45 types of critical illnesses, accidental death, provides hospitalization benefits and more for only RM44 a month. The group insurance plan comes with an investment-linked plan that allows the life assured to activate partial cash withdrawal for emergency purposes which is another essential proposition to help the SME segment grow their wealth and prepare for unforeseeable financial crises.


马来西亚创业促进会(PUMM; 青创会)和 马来西亚大东方人寿于2022年5月20日签署了一份备忘录(MOU)以及联合团体保险合作,为中小企业和他们的员工谋福利。双方的签约仪式在吉隆坡武吉加里尔的青创会总部举行,由全国总会长准拿督陈礼祥和大东方人寿保险(马来西亚)有限公司首席执行长拿督郭耀辉主持。

这项合作宗旨是要将大东方人寿的金融服务扩展到青创会旗下的中小型企业(SME),以满足其员工及其家庭成员的财务需求。在冠状病毒病(COVID-19) 疫情中, 中小企业及其员工面临财务不确定性。而这项合作能够提供保险不足的群体可负担得起且无虑的保障, 以减轻他们的财务影响。

青创会全国总会长陈礼祥指出青创会非常荣幸地与大东方人寿携手合作,为其会员开发可负担得起的团体医疗保险和严重疾病的投资联结保险计划。团体保险将有利于会员的长远利益,并有助于各自的中小企业会员其公司实现更稳定的财务前景” 。 大东方人寿保险(马来西亚)有限公司首席执行长拿督郭耀辉表示很高兴与青创会合作进接触中小企业业主,在这不确定的时期我们不断推出创新的产品, 并提升及改善客户服务体验, 从而与客户产生共鸣。”

除了员工福利计划下的团体医疗保险,团体多重福利保险计划 (GMBIS) 为中小企业业主, 其员工及其家人提供额外的保障。这项计划的保障包括45严重危疾、意外死亡、住院津贴等等。此外, 这项计划附带投资回酬并允许受保人在紧急情况下提取部分款项,以帮助中小型企业增加流动资金。
