MOU Signing between PUMM and UTAR

The Malaysian Entrepreneurs Development Association (PUMM) and UTAR (Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 4th August 2023, at the UTAR Sungai Long Campus. This collaboration is aimed at promoting education, research, and entrepreneurship by facilitating various forms of cooperation between the two entities.

The key points of the MoU include:

1. Idea Exchanges and Mutual Visits: The agreement encourages the exchange of ideas and visits between PUMM and UTAR. This exchange will involve sharing insights on research, curriculum development, and participation in industry-related events.

2. Collaborative Research: The MoU emphasizes joint projects involving collaborative research and the sharing of expertise. This collaboration aims to foster innovation and address complex challenges in their respective fields.

3. Industrial Placements: PUMM will facilitate corporate study visits and placements for UTAR’s undergraduate and postgraduate students. This exposure to real-world experiences is intended to equip students with practical skills and knowledge, enhancing their readiness for their future careers.

4. Community Engagement: The collaboration also extends to community engagement projects that contribute positively to society. This aspect highlights the commitment of both organizations to societal development and welfare.

Both Mr Tan Lay Seong, the President of PUMM, and Prof Dato’ Ewe, the President of UTAR expressed their enthusiasm for the partnership and its potential to drive academic growth, research advancements, and entrepreneurship in Malaysia. The partnership signifies a commitment to shared goals and objectives, and it is anticipated that this collaboration will lead to meaningful outcomes for students, communities, and industries.

Representatives from UTAR were UTAR President Ir Prof Dato’ Dr Ewe Hong Tat, Vice President for Internationalisation and Academic Development Ir Prof Dr Goi Bok Min, Division of Community and International Networking (DCInterNet) Director Assoc Prof Dr Lai Soon Onn, Institute of Chinese Studies (Sungai Long Campus) Dean Assoc Prof Dr Chong Siou Wei, Faculty of Accountancy and Management Deputy Dean for Student Development and Industrial Training Low Chin Kian, Department of Soft Skills Competency (Sungai Long Campus) Head Fook Oi Yee, Unovate Centre staff Lee Yan Yin, and Department of Alumni Relations and Placement staff Lee Wan Poh and Catherine Jok Wan.

PUMM participants included President Tan Lay Seong, Vice President Dato’ Dr. Teh Tai Yong, Secretary-General Daniel Dea, Honorary Treasurer Dato’ Jason Foo, Central Committee cum Bureau Director of Young Entrepreneurs Eric Lim Jing Jie, Bureau Committee of Young Entrepreneurs Brandon Teh, Rockson Lim, Yong Xiang, Josh Chong, Wai Khuen and Executive Secretary Irene Bong.


青创会与优大签署谅解备忘录

于2023年8月4日,马来西亚创业促进会(青创会;PUMM)与马来西亚拉曼大学(UTAR)与在拉曼大学双溪龙校区签署了一份谅解备忘录(MoU)。青创会总会长陈礼祥和拉曼大学校长拿督尤芳达教授代表双方签署谅解备忘录,并由拉曼大学副校长(国际化与学术发展)倪慕敏教授和青创会青年创业发展局局长林敬捷见证。

该谅解备忘录的要点概括为:

1. 思想交流和互访:该备忘录旨在鼓励双方进行思想交流和互访。这将涉及到在研究、课程开发和参与行业相关活动等方面分享见解。

2. 合作研究:强调涉及合作研究和专业知识共享的联合项目。此合作旨在促进创新,解决各自领域的复杂问题。

3. 实习机会:青创会将促进拉曼大学本科生和研究生进行企业拜访和实习。这种进行实战以累积经验的方式旨在为学生提供实际技能和知识,增强他们为未来职业做好准备。

4. 社区参与:此次合作还延伸到为社会做出积极贡献的社区参与项目,以实现对社会发展和福祉的承诺。

拉曼大学校长拿督尤芳达教授和青创会全国总会长陈礼祥共同表示他们对这次合作的期望,并认为这次合作有潜力推动马来西亚的学术成长、研究进展和青年创业发展。这份合作代表着共同的目标和愿景,预计将为学生、社区和各行业带来有意义的成果。
